The Procurement Coach is bringing you Women in Business in Vic Park
Hold the phone! The Procurement Coach has been awarded an Economic Development Grant from the Town of Victoria Park, and we are using it to build something genuinely good for women in business right here in Vic Park.
What is Vic Park Women in Business?
Over the next 12 months, we are running up to six gatherings for women who own, lead or manage businesses in the Town of Victoria Park.
Each event is co-hosted by two local businesses, who share their space, their story and their expertise with a small group of attendees. Events are held at different times of day — morning, lunchtime and evening — so you can come to the ones that fit around your life. On-site childminding is included at every event, because we know that makes a real difference for a lot of people.
This is not a referral group. It is not a pitch night. It is a space to connect with other women navigating business ownership, pick up something useful, and find your people.
Why this, why now?
Networking in Perth can feel pretty transactional. You turn up, swap business cards, get added to a mailing list, and wonder why you bothered.
We wanted to build something different. Something where the conversation is real, the room is welcoming, and you leave feeling like you actually gained something — whether that is a new idea, a new contact, or just the reassurance that other people find this hard too.
Victoria Park has a brilliant community of women running and leading businesses. This series is about connecting them.
We are looking for two things
If you own or lead a business in the Town of Victoria Park, we would love to hear from you in one of two ways.
Co-host an event. This means sharing your space, your story and your expertise with a small, engaged group. It is a great way to introduce your business to people who genuinely want to connect, and to be part of building something lasting in the local business community. Two businesses co-host each event together, so you are not doing it alone.
Come along as an attendee. Events are free. Childminding is on-site. You just need to show up.
